Back from a time of AOL screename away messages and nameplate belts, comes Napster in all its retro glory. The site that first taught us all how to download music and burn an awkward CD mix for our classmates is back. The enterprise is resurging with the help of audio giant Rhapsody.
Rhapsody will be rebranded under the Napster name and bring back the beloved logo with a spin. Current Rhapsody customers will not be effected by these changes. Rhapsody announced in a press release: “No changes to your playlists, favorites, albums, and artists. Same music. Same service. Same price. 100% the music you love. Stay tuned!” In the world of Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music, an old friend has come to join the club and this time it will be legal.
Be sure to watch for more news on this new merger.
